Clean, beautiful, cozy place. Loved the back deck area and river view. Everything was very nice and check in and out was super easy. Would love to stay here again sometime. Bed and furniture was comfy and we had everything we could of ever needed for our stay. Thanks so much!"

"This is our 2nd stay at this property as we have celebrated New Years with friends two consecutive years. Everything was as good as the first time. No snow this time and lake wasn't quite frozen, but the property was still fantastic. There is so much space between the 2 buildings that even with a large group plenty of beds for everyone. Kids (and adults) love the game room."

"Loved our stay! This cabin and location was the perfect getaway for myself, my fiancee, and our pup. Everything we needed was there on hand. The cabin was very clean, check in process was smooth, and all guest instructions were layed out clearly. Really liked the suggestions of places to visit in the area and things to do. We have stayed at many cabins over the years and this was one of our favorites! *Only note to future guests would be to remember to bring your own wine opener!"

"Everything about this place is amazing. It is the definition of Northwoods and has a fantastic history behind it. We really enjoyed the small perks that it came with, toiletries that may have been forgotten, first aid equipment, baking supplies, games and movies. The TV was a little difficult to figure out, as someone who doesn't use cable. We are definitely making plans to come back in the future."

"The retreat was exactly as pictured and as described. It was incredibly cleaned and stocked with any and everything that we needed, that we may have forgotten, including a first aid kit. The extra surprise was the plunger in the bathroom, which gave us a great laugh. Loved it and would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was relaxing and peaceful and that’s exactly what we needed."

"We had the best time in Fence - it reminded us of home with the quietness and friendly people. The property was clean and perfect size for our family of 4. We were lucky to have great weather and so much to do in the surrounding areas. We appreciated the games and snacks. It was nice to catch up with the owners who live next door and get their advice on roads to take etc. We had the best experience at The Fence Post too! Thanks for everything!"
