Hi Babak thanks for your feedback. Your accommodation cost you 65.00 pp and you had a two level loft with own ensuite, bar fridge, tea coffee facilities, access to other facilities, smart TV, toasters, microwave etc. . Not sure where you have travelled lately in NZ but this price is considered very reasonable and our rooms are priced as per the facilities and furnishings in them and are very clean. If you wanted more luxury in the rooms, you could have booked our other chalet types but would have paid more. We have checked your room and it has and did have body wash in the dispenser. We do not have disposable plastic bottles of shampoo because as a tourism operator we work to minimise our carbon foot print and have removed as much plastic as possible. Waitomo is cold in the winter and we provide extra duvets and heating to minimise the cold as we do care about guest comfort. Please before booking a property make sure you have realistic expectations and consider paying more for a room type which may be more your style of accommodation. Kind Regards David and Pamela

Hi and thank you for staying with us. As this is anonymous it is more difficult to respond. However some Hotel.com guests may book the accommodation type not fit for their purpose so pleased to be able to respond to avoid future misinterpretations. We are not a fine city hotel with air conditioning and facilities that a 5 star hotel offers. However our pricing reflects this. NZ has had many price increases and we have absorbed a lot so we can offer comfortable stays for guests at a reasonable price. We work at offering a good experience. We are bush destination with walking distance to the caves and eateries and dining options. Please choose your hotel type carefully when booking accommodations in NZ and you might be better to pay more ( double the price) and get more of a 5 star hotel experience. This was just very unfortunate and a huge challenge for a business like ours when on a rare occasion there is an issue beyond our immediate control.
