"I have hesitated to write this review because we did enjoy the property. First the many good things - space and layout were awesome. 2 master suites plus 3 other bedrooms. 5 baths. Also a kids room with games and hangout space. 2 living areas and large dining room Well stocked kitchen. Location was nice and outside space was beautiful. So what didn't go well. To the owner - you need to get an electrician into the house to check outlets and switches. Many did not appear to work and lights did not...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Bayou Chalet. We came with 2 Dads and our 2 sons for a 4 day ski race at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great mud room for all of our gear. We were very close to both mountain bases and a short drive to Waitsfield. John the owner was super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were having a good time. We all said that we loved the place and would definitely come back!"

"We wanted a cozy place to stay over Christmas, and we found it! The house is older, but so full of charm! Everything from check in to check out was a pleasant experience. The hosts were amazingly responsive, and the house included so many wonderful touches (including a S’mores basket and cookie cutters!) to make our family trip a fantastic experience! "Stayed here to access the Sugarbush ski area. Easy 10-15 minute drive with on-site parking at cabin. Super cute with fire wood provided for use in both the inside fire place and outside fire pit. Cabin abuts the river which makes a nice coffee spot. Easy access to hiking trails. Only things to consider is that beds require climbing a ladder to access so keep that in mind if people have mobility issues. Also no TV so bring your own device if you have something you would like to watch."
