  • New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

    Great vacation days await you from the 3,784-square-foot oceanside Ireland Parish! Located across from the pedestrian ocean access, Ireland Parish opens with good parking, a fish station, a park grill, a private concrete pool, furnished pool surround, a private hot tub, and a tiki bar with a half-fridge. The first level opens with a furnished game room with a full-size pool table, a TV, a sleeper sofa, a wet bar, a microwave, and deck access to the pool. A separate home theater room with a 106-inch movie screen and seating is also located on this level. The first-level bathroom has a full bath and shower. Level two has a washer/dryer nook. The first bedroom is an oceanside suite. The second bedroom has a TV, deck access, and a full bath with a step-in shower.

    The third bedroom has a main bath with a shower. The hall bath has a tub/shower. The west-facing fourth bedroom has two twins, one with a trundle, and deck access. The West deck has a rope swing, a hammock, comfortable furniture, and super sunsets. The third level great room has tall cathedral ceilings, and a half bath. The living area has stylish resort-style furniture, a TV, and a stereo. Ireland Parish has large furnished east and west sundecks that catch every sunrise and sunset. The huge kitchen has a breakfast bar, an island with a wet-bar, and a computer station, and opens to the oceanfront dining area. A furnished tower getaway has a TV, sundecks, and postcard views of the sound, the ocean, and Waves village. Ireland Parish may be the best way to spend a vacation in Waves village, North Hatteras Island. This home is formally known as Sea-Ways Garrett.

    Things to Know
    The private pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
    This home is equipped with an exterior luggage lift to the second and third floors.
    The pool water is heated via solar power, therefore the water temperature may vary as it is dependent on weather conditions and ambient air temperature. Solar pool heat does not need to be requested in advance.
    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Nice Vacation Spot

We loved the house, movie room and amenities. The pool and hot tub are wonderful and there was plenty of room for our family of 8. Be mindful if you have children or elderly people that the beach access in front of the home is a very high dune. Overall we very much enjoyed the home.

Wow! What a great place. It was a perfect fit for my guest and myself. The kitchen had everything one would need. There were great board games to play, a ping pong table to put on top of the pool table, and of course the hot tub and heated pool. Beautiful views from the fourth floor. There are a lot of stairs but totally worth it every step (: will definitely come again.

Big beach house that has improved a lot since we last booked.

We booked this place for spring break last year and while it’s really great space for the price, I wasn’t happy with cleanliness and state of the place. It’s gotten a lot better! The cleaning specifically was up to snuff. I think that for what you get it’s definitely worth it.

Neglected rental

We were looking forward to renting this house but from the moment we arrived it was one disappointment after another. The listing pictures are outdated and so is the upkeep on the inside and property of this house. My family was inconvenienced and annoyed with the multiple calls we had to make to get someone to fix and repair the owners neglect.

Nice house, lots of room and stairs

Nice large house, mostly clean, lots of room. Master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable, it sank in the middle, spouse had to sleep on one of the twin mattresses. Movie room would have been great but AC didn't work. Could use a better dishwasher and clothes dryer but they worked. Two shower curtains had bad mold spots but host sent new ones out and replaced them right away. Gas grill and charcoal grills were unusable. Hammocks on decks were unusable. Host was very responsive. Good house for the money.

Proximity to ocean, and the pool were the best features. The home is tired, not properly maintained. Lots of lights burnt out, sand everywhere even on kitchen counter and inside of refrigerators. Not at all like pictures portray, hot tub is rotting and apparently luggage lift hasn't work for years. Hammock is rotted and unusable, couch is broken could not sit on one end. The recent owners apparently don't care, and the cleaning service is mediocre at best!

Renter Beware

The house at a fiest hlance on the front was exciting u til uou step inside. The smell of must and mold, worn down furniture, broken pool table, sticks, cue. No picnic table on upper deck, no hammock chairs, the hot tub is very old, cover is trash and jets are barely working. Tiki area is disgusting and full of roaches not water bugs. Inside sinks/drains were filled with hair and sewage. Dishwasher was broke and never repaired. The owner really needs to come Down and take care of their property, our trip with a disabled son was very stressful and the mamangement still has yet to address all the issues.

Unkept Home

Upon arrival house was dirty. Stains on carpets, and dirty furniture. Trash piled up behind the tiki bar. Pool table is bad shape and 2 of the cues sticks have no tip. To make matters worse a family member stepped on a nail sticking up on one the balconies the first day. So we had to wear shoes all the time going forward. On the 3rd day, a nail came through one of our shoes coming up the steps into the house. We then realized there were popped up nails on all the decks and steps. With that we ended up ending our trip a day early! This home is in need of some renovations, and better maintenance.

Poor property management response. Amenities listed non functioning.

Upon arrival, automatic luggage lift broken. Called management to report. One hour later, return phone call from maintenance saying 'will be out to fix' , 7 days later, no one out to fix! Resulting in carrying all luggage, large plastic tubs, food etc...up/down 3 flights stairs. Upon check out, agent asked for an email to list all problems. Non functioning items, all beer fridges by pool (nasty/not working ), bottom floor fridge (moldy/not working ), wine cooler in kitchen (broken), luggage lift broken (this was important), pool (dirty/gross brown slime stain/sludge) no one out to clean all week, hot tub ( don't even ask, we didn't get in after pool situation ). I rented this house to put additional family in for my daughter's wedding. I was extremely disappointed in lack of response from management company. When they finally called me directly on day 5 after my sister in law called twice to inquire on work order, agent chastised me for not reporting sooner. We reported all on day 1! There are nicer rentals. I will say the house has a great layout but, outdoor deck/furniture needs maintenance as broken benches( my 85 year old father sat on front bench and it was broken and he fell to deck), warped deck boards, exposed pointed nail heads. Owner needs to remove non working amenities. I would have chosen another home for my family. Donna J...Maryland

Great location and layout but in major need of upgrade

The location of this home is perfect. So is the layout for a large group. It also has a lift which was a huge plus and certainly a highlight. Unfortunately, the home was in major need of updates. It has mold, which is visible at the air vents. The sliding glass door upstairs never closed completely, which probably contributed to the mold. Bedding is old and worn and needs to be changed out. Toilet seats and a few fixtures either needed replacement or tightening. Pans and kitchen equipment need replacement, specifically the pans. As we cooked pancakes, flakes of the non-stick pan were covering our food. The most disappointing part was the lack of cleanliness. This home needs a deep clean. We were provided 2 towels per room, which were clean but stained. Additional towels were brought out. Everything was dirty and when we moved a piece of furniture to fit a pack-and-play, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The sheets and pillowcases were left for us to make the beds witch was also a first. I will finish with my thoughts on Vacasa. Not impressed. Our check in was 6. Yes, 6 pm. We have never in the 20 years of going to the OBX had a check in that late. If they were managing my property, I would fire them for their lack of communication of the needs of the house. We enjoyed the week and did really like the location and layout. I probably would not book again, until I was able to confirm if duct cleaning, mold resolved and upgrades completed. And I will definitely think twice before renting a home serviced by Vacasa.
