New for 2019 - the perfect family getaway

Nice 4 bedroom, 2 bath home with central A/C and awesome panoramic views of Loagy Bay, Wellfleet Harbor and Great Island from the second story deck. Enter to the main level with a living area with slider doors to a deck, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with bunk bed (2 twins) and a bedroom with a queen bed. There is also full bath on this level. The second floor has 2 more bedrooms and another full bath. One bedroom has 2 double beds and sliders to the deck. The other bedroom has 2 bunk beds, both with a double bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top. Relax, entertain and dine on the spacious decks and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets on the East Coast! It's less than 0.5 mi to a lovely sandy bay beach and a few miles to the gorgeous ocean beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore as well biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike path). Take in a movie at the iconic Wellfleet Drive-In only minutes away or take a ride to the beautiful Wellfleet Center and Harbor area with it's shops, galleries, live theater, great restaurants and much more! WIFI (satellite internet).Enclosed Outdoor Shower. Linens not included. ***NO PETS***NO SMOKING

Great visit

Beautiful sunset views - upper deck faces west. Very sunny - no shade on both decks during the day. Morning is shaded, great for coffee and views. Lots of beds. Upstairs is warm, but controllable with the AC vents. Great location on the island. Walk to the beaches. The kitchen has everything you need. Highly recommend. The host is great!

We enjoyed our time on liutenant island. The tide wasn’t a huge deal - just needed to plan for it which was fine for a weekend. Walkable to the beach which was great for shell hunting and exploring the tide pools. Close to route 6 and plenty of restaurants/activities. The house was good, but not great. Plenty of space and a nice balcony. The beds were of varying comfort and furnishings in general were on the older side. I wish the “no sheets or towels provided” had been a bit more obvious in the listing. Somehow I missed that.

Quiet Get-away

The house was perfect for our group of 10. Lots of room and plenty of beds.The upper deck was the place to be! Gorgeous vews. Easy access to the beach. I just wish we could have figured out the AC better because the upstairs was definitely hotter . But we hope to return next year.

Fun location

The location on lieutenant island is great. The house itself seems to be in a modernization process. The owner responded immediately to a request for some additional cleaning and once that was done we felt more comfortable. I would recommend this property.

Magical Location

If you're looking for a modern, well-equipped home, then this is not the place for you. Still it turned out to be just the adventure we were looking for, offering secluded beaches, a charming one-lane bridge to the island and the sandy unpaved roads that evoked a time gone by and made you feel like you were entering another world. The views from the deck were magnificent and the walk to the beach from the house was breathtaking, I only wish the house was a little better cared for because there were more than a few little annoyances - screen doors that wouldn't close, an air conditioner that didn't work very well, sticky kitchen floors, a sluggish toilet, no working can opener ... the list goes on. But, if you're looking for a Cape adventure unlike any other you'll experience, then this is the place.

Beautiful Island Property

This rental was such a surprise to us. We have been coming to the Cape since I was a kid, now my sister and I wanted to bring our families together. We had never been to Lieutenant Island, and it was a wonderful surprise! The beaches on the island were absolutely gorgeous and perfect for the kids. The trail to walk/run/bike was so perfect for daily exercise. Great house for two families with a full bath on each floor. Two decks were an amazing addition, especially the top overlooking the bay. We loved our stay! The upstairs A/C does not work. We kept screens open and had a beautiful breeze come through.

Beautiful spot!

This is a wonderful rental on Lieutenants Island, which is a hidden gem of Cape Cod. The host was incredibly responsive to a couple of questions and quickly had 2 lightbulbs replaced in very high fixtures when asked. Notice to renters: ticks are a big issue on the island. Please be careful to protect yourself and do regular checks after the walks/hikes.

Beautiful and, thanks to the tidal blocking of the road, isolated from the Cape Cod crowds.

Landlord is attentive and very friendly. We were the first occupants of the season and encountered a minor problem with dishwasher. He expedited a plumber to solve the issue quickly.

Great house with beautiful views

We really enjoyed our stay here, for two weeks. It was a little remote but so worth the drive on the dirt roads for those stunning sunset views. Michael was very responsive when we couldn’t figure out the TV. We had a great time exploring the Outer Cape from this place, as well as just hanging at the house and reading on the deck. We’d definitely rent here again.

Great Location on Lt. Island with all the Basics

The property is in a great location near beaches and the town of Wellfleet. Great view from upstairs deck; lots of light in downstairs rooms. Beds were comfortable; kitchen had all utensils and grill/stove and TV worked fine. Laundry was helpful to have, and we liked the outside hose for washing off after beach walks. However, the A/C upstairs didn't work well, and got so hot the fire alarm went off twice. There were tons of ticks in the area that we had to pick off our pant legs. The floors on the main floor needed scrubbing/waxing, and kitchen dishes and pots that were sitting out were very greasy. In our opinion it could use more routine maintenance, but was serviceable.

Beautiful water views in a comfortable house with plenty of sleeping options

We loved our stay at your property, thanks so much for a great base of operations in Wellfleet. The bedrooms provided plenty of options for my husband and I, our three young kids, and my parents. The kitchen was well-equipped and the living room is very comfortable. The house is located at the end of a quiet dirt road and we were never bothered by outside noise. The best part of this house is the amazing water views from both decks. We'd absolutely come back. Thanks again!
