“We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. “A fabulous hotel. We had a very warm welcome and the owners couldnt do enough to accommodate us. The room was beautifully decorated , clean and comfortable. Nice big mugs for tea and coffee aand spares in the corridor if needed which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was continental (cooked only available on the Sunday morning) but was sufficient and nicely presented. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you Neil and Heather ”

“Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.”

“Second visit. Great place. Lovely clean room. comfy bed, lots of thoughtful touches in room. Great pub below with wonderful food and drinks. Service, both on arrival, evening meals and especially at breakfast was excellent. Very efficient and friendly. breakfast was amazing - beautiful food especially granola, wonderful full english and eggs Benedict. Loads of parking on site and great atmosphere. “ Good location on the edge of town, convenient for the buses along the North Norfolk coast. Short walk into the town. Ample car parking on the street or in the yard. Room was not overlarge but was clean and had everything needed and the decor was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Continental type breakfast ample and varied. Altogether, a very positive experience and we would be happy to book again when we come to Sheringham.”

“The landlady and landlord were lovely and could not have been more accommodating for us and our dog. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The selection at breakfast was also really good.
