「We were greeted with friendly and very helpful staff from the minute we walked in the doors. He even helped us with our luggage, and phoned us after we left to be sure we had a pleasant stay at his hotel - Budget Inn in DeWitt Iowa. We would recommend staying at this place, and we will stay here again in the future.」

「Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend
This hotel is in desperate need of some major updates and maintenance. Our room had peeling paint, and areas of the ceiling that had clearly been patched were already peeling again. The stand holding the microwave and refrigerator was also broken.
The pool area wasn’t much better. There was a hose running into the pool, and the hot tub was out of service with construction materials covering it. It was certainly not the relaxing environment you’d...

「Historic charm, great value — we'd stay again For Sure!
Stayed Saturday night for $82. Such a quaint, old-world stay. The Decker House (built 1876-78, Italianate, on the National Register, 17 rooms with the grand staircase from local woods) is gorgeous — original woodwork, metal cornices, right at the top of Main Street and 5 minutes to Maquoketa Caves.
Room was spotless and comfortable, staff was friendly, location and value are excellent.
Only reason I'm marking amenities 3/5 is breakfast...
