「Pros: location is on the quieter side of Grindelwald, comfortable bed, clean room, easy self-check in, good breakfast and coffee. Cons: advertised as having a bike room but there is nothing to actually lock the bikes too, it’s just a store room to which everyone has access - leaving bike vulnerable. Advertised balcony is actually a communal wrap around, meaning privacy is decreased by other guests walking past.」

「They say they’re pet friendly but big signs up saying there’s a huge fine if you bring a pet! Very run down. We had a shared balcony so couldn’t have the door open for security and it got very warm. Although the hotel was almost empty the room next to us was booked and the walls are super thin and we were unlucky with noisy room neighbours. No staff on site 」

「I had a terrible experience at this hut. I did not expect a luxury room service but there was no shower and electricity. I had to charge my phone in the barn next door using a 12V solar panel and there is lighting. Worst of all, the location is not accessible via public transit. I had to rent a car for the 3 days of my 5 day stay for commuting. The owner gave me this information one night before checking in and it was a hell of a surprise for me and my wife.
