「We stayed for just under 3 weeks and had a lovely stay. A really charming and cute little cottage, hidden away behind the main street in Kimbolton. Though the kitchen is very compact, the air fryer and induction stove meant we could make some meals, and everything else about the cottage is cozy and welcoming. The hosts are great, and Rebecca was always very swift to respond to any questions or requests. Highly recommended.」

「Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent!」

「Very quiet and low lit area - perfect for stargazing. No WiFi so the kids stayed off their devices and enjoyed watching the chickens roam around freely. My little boy even got to help feed some which he thought was brilliant. Mary and her husband are top class hosts! Would definitely recomendthis place to anyone who wants a quiet rural getaway. 」

「The lodge was lovely and the welcome package was most unexpected. Lots of places provide the essentials but here they went above and beyond including chocolates and wine.
