Walk to beach, beautiful large condo in "Kingsmill on the James"
This beautiful large ground floor one bedroom one bath condo* is in gated "Kingsmill on the James" (not part of Kingsmill Resort but Spa is available with your stay!)
Built by and adjacent to Busch Gardens, this is a lovely oasis in a tree and Audubon bird sanctuary. There's private beaches and seven miles of lovely trails. This lovely first floor condo offers a variety of sleeping pillows including down, many books, games, deck overlooking greenbelt, tennis, and woods where we've spotted deer, bunnies, squirrels, ospreys, wild turkeys, groundhogs. There's basketball, tennis courts, soccer, pickleball, stocked lakes for fishing, golf the award-winning gorgeous Green or Gold course at Golden Horseshoe, or take the ferry to historic Surry and dine on the water at the Surry Seafood Company or on the historic beach in Yorktown a beautiful short drive away on the Colonial Parkway.. Miles of walking and biking trails, restaurants and beaches within walking distance. Not a resort condotel, this condo offers the comforts of home, books, games, Netflix, Hulu, Starz, HBOMax, Sling, YouTubeTV, artistic coloring books, seasonal decorations, a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals including a variety of coffees, teas, breakfast foods, snacks, soup mix, cocoa,herbs and spices, condiments, oils and vinegars, baking mixes....or barbecue and picnic, or dine on the lovely outdoor dining terrace behind the Mill Cafe, walk to the beautiful spa for pampering. Enjoy fishing at stocked lake at Macaulay's Park and grill at Southhall or Wareham Pond rec centers, admire the beautiful estates along the river, or just spend a day following the Colonial Williamsburg Tasting Trail!
**Please note, the condo is in Kingsmill on the James River, not Kingsmill Resort...there's beach access, for dogs too, but not pool..The spa is available with your stay.

Nice area
We stayed for three nights with our pet and we were given a condo that was very convenient. First floor. Easy walk out for the pet. Quiet area facing the tennis courts. Host was very agreeable and informative. Quick responses!

Gayle ’s place was awesome and so was Gayle. We had so ouch room in the condo and lots of walking trails for our dog to stay exercised and happy. Will definitely stay here again and for a longer stay next time!!

Great Stay for a Trip to Williamsburg
We had a wonderful time renting the condo. It was clean and well furnished. The kitchen had some basic food/dish items as well which were helpful to already have on hand. This location is perfectly located to enjoy the history of Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown! Would highly recommend, especially since it is dog friendly!

Kingsmill Condo
The condo exceeded my expectations! It was large with a little patio overlooking the tennis courts. Perfect location for me—2 minute drive to the clubhouse to attend a wedding. Would like to go back for a round of golf and to enjoy some paddle boarding in the river—a beautiful place!

Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing environment. The only helpful insight to offer is that there is a tennis court/tennis complex less than 50 yards outside the patio door, so that's pretty much your view. There was no problem with noise from the courts when inside, but if people are playing when you're on the back deck you can expect the usual tennis sounds.
A "Welcome" folder with instructions on where to dispose of the trash, and how to operate the TV/DVD player with the multiple remotes, as well as any special instructions for checkout, etc., would have been helpful.

Nice condo at Kingsmill community
Overall great stay for our last minute add on trip before heading south to the beach. Very well appointed 1 bedroom 1 bath condo. We appreciated the items available in the condo (stocked kitchen including spices, oil, baking mixes, etc.; puzzle, DVDs, coloring books, towels, linens, etc.). Very clean and comfortable with a great location. Only item to note was that the posting said it sleeps 6 but actually slept 4 and a single air mattress was provided to accommodate our party of 5. This was pet friendly as well so we greatly appreciated having ours with us. Overall, I highly recommend this property and would stay again especially if the connecting room(s) were available.
