And a drive through the mountains/National Forest away from the other cities/tourist areas near Bennington. It snowed while we were staying and the owners stayed on top of plowing so we could drive in and out - they weren't kidding about needing 4WD to get in and out in the winter. "Beautiful views from all the windows, quiet, private, clean and comfortable! Well worth a three day stay in October with all the leaves changing colors. Kayaks provided were so appreciated, allowing us to paddle around the whole lake and enjoy the colors and views even more. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were ideal for my elderly mother. "The home is beautiful as pictured surrounded by lush greenery and trees. It was very peaceful. The property manager Evolve took at least 2 weeks to answer questions. We enjoyed Hogback Mtn in Wilmington. EAT at the Blue Benn dinner in Bennington. We had so much fun riding the Alpine slide at Bromley Mtn. So many beautiful state parks all around."

"We loved our stay at the chalet. It's perfectly situated in the cutest little neighborhood, while also feeling very secluded. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay. While visiting we walked a few of the trails nearby, part of the Valley Trail and the Hoot, Toot and Whistle. They were both perfect for our pups, especially during hunting season. We gave our pups an extra squeeze in honor of Scarlet. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to stay again!!"
