It's always nice when you can find an inexpensive, clean motel in which to stay. For the price you get a small room, a toilet, and a shower. For just an overnight stay we found this motel excellent. There is no breakfast but a MacDonalds is close by. The owner is security conscious and you have to be buzzed into the lobby. After you fill out the necessary information and pay for the room you'll receive and old fashioned room key and the TV remote. After our stay I turned them back in at the front desk. This may not have been necessary but I figured, "Why not?" Parking was right in front of the room. When leaving my wife mentioned that a few people we saw outside appeared to be permanent residents. That being noted the stay was quiet and uneventful and we happily went on to our next destination.

The staff at this hotel is so nice and respectful.Didn’t have any issues with staying here . I wish they offered rooms to pay biweekly with 2 beds but other than that I would definitely recommend staying here if you come to Front Royal and don’t want to stay in a chain motel this is the perfect place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our room at the Blue Ridge Motel would have been adequate except for the smell. The bathroom was acceptable with clean towels, soap and a good shower. The bed was somewhat comfortable except for the awkward sounds of the plastic-wrapped mattress and box springs. The microwave, mini-fridge and the TV were all in working order. The worst part of the stay was the overwhelming smell as soon as we entered the room. At first we thought it was just the smell of strong cleaning products, and opening the windows seemed to help a little. But the smell did not dissipate and in fact seemed to get worse with the humidity due to rain. The stained and burned carpet felt damp all the time. The odor seemed like old cat pee poorly dealt with and then overwhelmingly covered with a cloying fragrance. We will not be back.

Older but good

We appreciated the service of this independent motel. As stated in other reviews, the motel is "old" without the current trend of "luxury" bathrooms and larger bedrooms. The bathroom was very small but it was clean with ample towels. The bedroom was small but the mattresses were very comfortable and the sheets were luxurious!
