Golfing at Bear Trace at Tim’s Ford State Park
This property for a visit to Tim’s Ford Lake or the area of Winchester. My husband and I selected this property because our 17 year was in a golf tournament at Bear Trace, which was just a 10 minute drive. The property is a great place to stay. Very clean, nicely decorated and has the amenities needed for a stay like home away from home. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet but also very friendly, with a wave from folks when you met them on the road. It’s close to a couple of marinas and there are some good local restaurants within 10-15 minutes if you don’t feel like cooking at the house. I would choose this house again if I’m in the area.

Quiet Lake Getaway
The property was just what we needed, especially the curved driveway for easy boat parking. Very nice neighborhood and close to the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Mold and mildew
Property had a foul and musty smell immediately upon entry. There was a large dehumidifier running when we arrived and over the three nights we stayed I had to empty it twice. Smell was so bad it stayed on our clothes and things once we left. Everything will have to be washed and treated. Host knew I was bringing my grandmother (90) there to stay because she was having repairs done on her home and said nothing about the conditions before confirming the reservation or at any time at all. This property should really not be allowed to be in service until the moisture problem inside is rectified. Moisture leads to mold which is harmful for people to breathe in. There were religious hangings all in the home, if they truly believed they would not harm other people knowingly just for monetary gain.
