The only thing that lets this experience down is the early check out time. 10am to clean and tidy and get yourself sorted was a bit disappointing. It would have been more enjoyable to check out at 12 given the fact we cleaned everywhere ourselvea which only left the bed sheets to be changed. For the price i feel that a 10am checkout was definitely doing ourselves a injustice. Location waa good and accommodation was lovely.

On arrival the property on picture is not the one we stayed in, it was a barn conversion instead which was a picture further along photos. The property was ok in a lovely area and nice touch fresh egg's. The bedroom looks tired and needs refreshing but the sheets, duvet cover and pillows not ironed and did not look inviting would expect better as deluxe?

Amazing Stay!

Firstly, the cottage wasn't what hotels.com displayed it to be, the cottage was down the road from the image displayed. However, it was still a really cute place to stay. Cleanliness of the place was good but i would say that some parts of the place had cobwebs and when wiping down the sides it was a little dirty. Aside from that the place is very cute and comfy to stay and i would deffo recommend for a couple to stay there. If you have trouble climbing stairs i would avoid this place because the stairs are quite steep and slippery if you only have socks on. But the Bathroom is fabulous i love the shower on the ceiling it does really elevate the place!

Excellent property in a lovely quiet area. Easy to get to and access. Property is best suited for 2 people. Slight issues with the following: 1: Coffee available but no milk or tea bags 2: Rules include having to wash all plates, etc. all this means is that items are properly washed up so will need cleaning before using (there were dirty items in the cupboards) 3: The bedroom carpet had a huge stain on it which was soaking wet. It was right next to the bed so awkward getting in and out without getting a wet foot! 4: Blind in the bedroom wouldn’t stay closed - fine for a winter stay but less so in summer! Overall a great place but need to come a little prepared as there is no shop in walking distance. We stayed for a Blenheim palace visit and was a 10 minute drive - very convenient!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Dove Cottage. We stayed in cottage 2. The place was spotless on arrival. Louise even ensured that we had milk and fresh eggs. The cottage is well stocked with everything that you could need, even free wifi. The hostess lives on site and is immediately contactable should you require help. We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending Dove Cottage to family and friends. Louise, you’ve certainly nailed being a super hostess.

Excellent cottage close to Oxford

Great little home from home with everything you'd need for a few days self-catering or even longer. Very close to Oxford and Bleinheim Palace. Mattress could have been a bit more comfortable but then that is often a matter of taste. Fresh eggs, tea and coffee a welcome touch and the smart TV is spot on for a rainy day.

Wonderful stay

A beautiful cottage, had a wonderful time. Cottage was warm and Stayed for two nights, on the first night we went to the local pub for dinner, food was great and only a 2 minute walk.

Home from home

Check in easy no contact needed so no worries about late arrival. Everything you could possibly need. Comfortable, clean and in lovely surroundings. No parking issues either. Easy drive to most attractions in the area. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely little cottage

Absolutely lovely cottage on lovely grounds, fresh chicken eggs from the chickens in the yard. Nice pub 2 minutes walk away. Short drive into Oxford I would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent cottage and location

We were really happy with our stay. The cottage is small and cosy yet plenty big enough to relax. Great kitchen which is well-equipped with bar space to eat at. Smart TV with Netflix/Spotify etc installed. Great bathroom/shower setup. Check-in was easy. Nice pub serving food is a 90-second walk and the centre of Oxford is a 10-minute drive. Couldn’t really ask for more!
