Welcome to 2 Pound Cottage — a thoughtfully restored Victorian holiday cottage in the quiet village of Easton, East Suffolk. Tucked away on a peaceful lane, this beautiful cottage combines period charm with modern comfort and is ideal for families, couples, or small groups looking for a relaxing countryside escape. Sleeping up to five guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with two large garden areas and dog-friendly features, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Suffolk coast, Framlingham, and beyond.

Authentic Victorian Charm with Modern Comforts

Originally built in the late 1800s as a workers’ cottage, 2 Pound Cottage has been carefully updated to preserve its character — think gently sloping floors, low-set windows, thick walls, and an original open fireplace — while offering everything you need for a stress-free, comfortable stay.

You’ll find three thoughtfully arranged bedrooms:

Two light-filled upstairs double bedrooms, each with super king beds and luxury goose down bedding, perfect for couples or guests wanting extra space.

A charming single room on the ground floor with its own private ensuite, ideal for guests who prefer to avoid stairs.


There are two bathrooms in total, including a calm, well-lit upstairs bathroom with a deep bath and soft blue porcelain tiles that reflect the cool northern light.

Well-Equipped Kitchen and Cosy Living Area

The fully renovated kitchen has been designed with both style and function in mind. You’ll find:

Sage-green cabinetry and lightly veined quartz worktops

Integrated appliances, including an induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine

Open shelving and soft lighting to keep the space relaxed and uncluttered


A practical layout flows into the dining and living room, where French doors open out to the rear garden. On cooler evenings, light the open fire and unwind in the cosy sitting area, surrounded by calm, neutral tones and vintage touches.

Two Garden Spaces for Relaxing, Playing, and Dining

2 Pound Cottage offers not one, but two distinct garden areas, each with its own feel:

The front garden is fully enclosed, making it ideal for children and dogs. Here you’ll find a sandpit, perfect for little ones to dig and play while you relax nearby. Seasonal planting like hydrangeas, jasmine, and violas keeps the space soft and inviting throughout the year.

The rear garden is larger and opens out to a neighbouring paddock, where two horses often graze. This garden is not fully fenced, reflecting the cottage’s original estate layout. You’re welcome to enjoy this space, but we ask that dogs stay in the front garden to avoid disturbing the horses.


There’s also a garden hut available for practical use during your stay. It contains a tumble dryer, electric fans, and garden cushions. (Please note: the rear section of the hut is reserved for storage.)

This is a dog-friendly holiday cottage where families and pet owners alike can feel at ease. The enclosed garden provides peace of mind, and there are plenty of walking routes right from the door. Highchairs and other child-friendly extras can be arranged on request.
