Glose to town and on the chain

Great location for being on the Minocqua chain. Close to town. Plenty of room for 2 couples. Very nicely decorated. Lots of room in the upper bedroom which also connects to the Master Bath and washer/dryer. Air conditioning in the Living room and also have plenty of fans, if needed.

Overall, the property has some positives, but two major issues significantly affected our stay.First, although the listing states that the property has air conditioning, the AC only cools the main floor. Neither of the two bedrooms has air conditioning. This was not clear from the listing, and had we known, we would not have rented the property.Because the upstairs bedroom was too warm, my husband slept in the basement bedroom one night because it was cooler. Unfortunately, there was a very strong, foul odor throughout the basement, including the bedroom and TV room. We could not determine the source, but we reported it to the property management company. The previous renters also mentioned the odor in their review. My husband also heard a repetitive low “womp-womp” noise for much of the night. Both issues need to be investigated.Communication with the third-party management company was hit or miss, and some required forms and communication occur outside the VRBO app. The patio furniture is quite worn. Also, FYI, swimming is not permitted in the channel.On the positive side, the kitchen is well stocked, the lake frontage is a nice view, and the neighborhood is quiet. The property has potential, but the bedroom AC situation and basement issues kept this from being a comfortable stay for us.

Northwoods lake vacation

The property exceeded my expectations, owners did a great job of describing the property. Home was cozy for my family of 4. Lake frontage is not the best, however they didn't hide that and you can see that easily in the pictures. Its a short boat ride to the actual lake, like a couple minutes. The chain has a ton of water to explore and the fishing was pretty good for late summer. The dock was perfectly set up to securely park my 18 foot boat and I really appreciate that as most owners don't seem to care. Home has very fast internet and large TV's to keep the screenagers entertained. The grill was a new gas grill and was a joy to use on the deck overlooking the water. The home had a nice firepit, which was stocked with dry firewood. I would not hesitate to book again, we had a great time.
