A quaint boutique historic hotel with a cool little bar and fine dining. The view from our room overlooking the garden and lush lawn added to the tranquil atmosphere that we were hoping for. The owners were pleasant and friendly.

What a lovely place to stay. The couple that manage The Jackson are absolutely wonderful and made our stay fabulous. I would highly recommend staying here with gorgeous surroundings, charming rooms and lovely hospitality.

The inn was very clean and well kept and the grounds were very well landscaped. The only complaint I have is that breakfast was the same every day with granola fresh fruit juice and quiche everyday. I think being in VT. Pancakes , waffles and VT maple syrup and even scrambled eggs with fresh pastry. Very Disappointed in the breakfast.

The innkeeper, Lea, was excellent! She helped with our check in process. It went seamlessly. And she helped us when we had an issue with our TV. She was also extremely helpful with our breakfast and checkout! I would give her 5 stars! And the home was beautiful!!!

Beautiful property with wonderful attention to detail and warm, friendly staff — really enjoyed our stay! Woodstock is a charming town and The Jackson staff offered great local recommendations in addition to providing comfortable lodging with thoughtful amenities, delicious breakfast and pretty views. Great winter stay

Very comfortable accommodations, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It was great to have coffee/tea available anytime and we spent lots of time by the cozy fire.

We had trouble checking in because we booked through Expedia and never received our room codes. We eventually just came to the property hoping we could get in and Leah was very gracious and showed us to our rooms.

Absolute Oasis

The Jackson was a winter oasis. They mastered the accommodating in accommodations. I made a late arrival due to severe weather, but the Innkeeper stayed up to 10:45 pm to greet me & provide orientation. Blissfully peaceful & extremely comfortable room with jacuzzi tub. My cell phone reception was really spotty, and they very kindly allowed me to borrow their main phone for a crucial call. Best of all was the custom made scrumptious breakfast of steel cut oats with chopped walnuts, sliced bananas and incomparable Vermont maple syrup. I travelled from California to visit family & plan on making the Jackson my home away from home.

Best bed ever. Charming room. Wonderful service. Charming place. But the various machine noises (heating unit? Fans? All during the night (even after turning the one in my room off) were a real nuisance. That’s my only complaint.
