「Lovely location within very short walking distance of the centre of Franschhoek. Well appointed Cottage with all amenities and back up power available during loadshedding. Very spacious and a nice verandah outside. Jo was extremely friendly and looked after us very well. 」

Suffice it to say, if you need a breakaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, you cannot go wrong! 「Fabulous stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated with very tasteful modern furnishings. Jan is a super host and keeps the place spotless and provided lots of little treats throughout our stay. He lives next door which is very convenient especially if things go wrong, like my husband losing his wallet on the first day. The pool area is lovely and peaceful and we had a refreshing swim most days after visiting the wineries. 」

「I recently spent three weeks at De Hoop with my fiance and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cottage was small and simple, but contained everything that one requires as advertised. Perfect hot shower/water, with both indoor and outdoor braai. Great views of the mountains, lovely shaded porch, great trails to walk on the farm and dams to swim in.」

「A case of complete miss representation. From photos and description obtained on line, we expected a self contained bed_ sitting room with kitchenette . Instead we got one bedroom up some rickety stairs with a shelf unit and narrow hanging cupboard . Utensils for kitchen were totally inadequate . Saving grace, a great bed , fridge and micro wave.」

「We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. After struggling to find someone to assist us on arrival we we where taken to our cottage. The cottage had an overpowering smell of room spray that burnt your eyes. it was very clear that...

「Everything was fine. There are 6 dogs, they are lovely, but be sure that your children and/or partner are not scared of them since they around the cottage all the time. The farm manager is very polite and welcoming. The cottage where we stayed was really nice.」
