「The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. 「The property itself was beautiful in a great spot overlooking the Firth of Forth . Our room was fine with a sea view. The Spa and pool area was very good.. However our room seemed to be next to a boiler of sorts on a timer every 15 minutes it started up even during the night which wasn’t great for sleeping . The staff who were all young had an attitude as if someone had stolen their sweets ! Young adults need direction from management in how to treat guests so I would cut them some slack...
