“York , Maine is lovely. Our room at he STAGE NECK INN did not have hot water in our shower and there was nothing bathtub as pictured.When we told the front desk we were told they were aware and there was nothing they could do until after our stay was over. They said they could not upgrade our room because we booked through Expedia. The view of York Beach was lovely from our Balcony. The Spa is closed on Monday and Tuesday, our stay was Sunday- Tuesday. I am very disappointed with the management……

“Greeted by very friendly staff. Very clean room, bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a couple of chairs on the small but adequate deck to enjoy drinks. Perfect location to walk a short distance to most of what we wanted to do. Easy to walk to many restaurants but still enough away to be quiet. Would recommend and come back again. A/C unit not central air in room was the only downside. Still full of northern old charm.”

“This is definitely not a "resort" - the description was very misleading. It's this weird place where individual people own the "units" and the front office organizes stays. The front office wanted personal information which I was not comfortable sharing- they are probably going to spam me with sales calls forevermore. The floor in my unit was utterly disgusting- black sticky stuff that made the bottom of my white slippers black. All of the units face a parking lot, and there is nothing……

“5 stars. The service was phenomenal, the spa was great. The pool was beautiful, and a great walkable location to downtown. We also used the bikes to the beach in the AM and they have 4 cards you can use for free, for 4 hour intervals (which we took to dinner) including a G wagon and Maybach. They also supposed us with several treats and gave us a onesie for our baby on the way. Top notch and can’t wait to return.”
