Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Room well presented but no shower gel in the shower! Spa would have been £50 pp as we were on a B &B rate. Food in elements restaurant overpriced and vegetarian choice was bland and disappointing. Gorgeous slightly individual hotel but definitely overpriced

Wonderful setting, plenty of parking, Room very clean and impressively decorated, though peeling decorative strips on the wardrobe door detracted a little. Breakfast excellent and service and breakfast first class. The same could not be said for evening service on our first night in the Elements restaurant - 2 1/4 hours for two courses and we had to go ask for the dessert menu was unacceptable. In fairness, evening service on our second night was much improved. Plenty of choice on the evening menu and the food all well cooked.

Very welcoming staff and pleasant hotel with beautiful surroundings. Elements restaurant is classy with a good menu. The Spa area is clean and the option to use the outdoor hydro pool is an added bonus (additional £20 pp for 2 hours) but on a sunny day is worth it. Parking is short walk away, but this is not an issue.

I booked us for one night and arrived early, We were well received by the person on the front desk who was very helpful and arranged check in, once the room was ready, all pre authorisation had been completed. The food was high quality, well prepared and well presented. The spa and pool were luxurious and well maintained however there wasn’t any available water fountain which I found bizarre. The room was a delight, luxurious and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended
