We had a really relaxing stay here we stayed in the area called the cottage it was a very old building it didn’t look so great outside but had a surprisingly cosy interior we booked the twin bed room we are not used to small beds so it was a bit difficult to sleep but I watched the last kingdom with subtitles and eventually drifted off a twin room was all they had left on a bank holiday weekend the hotel had a lovely spa it really made the stay special, we also went to the Fat abbot restaurant on site the food was ok the beef a bit lacking in flavour and difficult to cut. I would recommend the sticky toffee pudding but the baileys creme brûlée not so much washed down with a glass of kiwi and lime kopperberg all in all we had a lovely time here. The staff were friendly and attentive great atmosphere.

We only stayed the single night and we had a wonderful experience. Friendly check-in, breakfast was nice and the surroundings beautiful. One area to consider.. plugs! Especially by the bedside cabinets. I carry a CPAP and ended up having to move the bed next to the desk to get access!. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The whole place looked dented. The room was basic with very tired old furniture. We had no toiletries whatsoever in the bathroom. Obviously the staff don’t check the notices near reception. Still a poster advertising Mothers Day 2025 hung up. In the breakfast area some tables had tablecloths and others didnt

The room is clean but the carpet looks very old. And the room very dark as the lights are dull. Again no socket near the bed. A lot of noise in the morning at the ground floor just outside our bedroom.
