The hotel location is very good nearby the riverside. but the cleanliness and sanitary condition wasn't acceptable. There are too many ants in the living room,bed room as well as in the kitchen. Then I informed the landlord and he brought the Insecticide to kill most of these ants, he apologized and explained due to the weather caused so many ants moving in the house, my boy was very scared and he felt very disgusting of it. In the early morning still few ants appears from time to time, they were on the dinner table, on the bed, on the pillow...we have to bear three nights in this condition room. York is a very nice place and we hope to choose a decent hotel next stay.

We are so sorry you had issues with ants in The Apartment during your stay, but to be fair it was not related to the cleanliness or sanitary conditions of the apartment. Following heavy and prolonged rain the ants must have been disturbed underground and found their way up into the property. This was an isolated incident - it was just bad fortune that it happened during your stay and we have not had any repeat of the problem since that one event. We are very sorry that it detracted from the enjoyment of your stay with us and hope that it didn't spoil your visit to York. Thanks and best regards, Patrick

Great apartment! Very spacious and comfortable, excellent location. We loved that it was right by the water and also inside the city walls. Easily walkable to anywhere you would want to go. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in York

We enjoyed this large, well-equipped space which was close to all the sights but still quiet and calm. It had a great view of the river from the bedroom and was very close to some good restaurants.

We were so impressed with the townhouse. Parked the car right outside and didn’t move it until we left 3 days later. Perfect location - all of York’s attractions a few minutes walk away, lovely restaurants, pubs, shops the same. We enjoyed walks and runs along the river in the mornings. The house was spacious and ideal for our family with lovely views. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Communication was great - most definitely recommend .

The location was great in terms of walking everywhere. It was lovely to be right on the river. The main bedroom was very comfortable, but the sofa bed in the lounge was not. Neighbours in the upstairs flat were noisy until late the first 2 nights, but after that it was peaceful. Overall we would recommend for a short stay for a family of 4.

Lovely, central apartment.
The apartment is very central and the perfect base for exploring York. Being able to park the car, and in a garage was brilliant. The apartment had everything we needed for a long weekend. Pre-check in communication was excellent. We'll definitely be staying again the next time we're in York!

Perfect stay
Our group of freinds Stayed at the town house and apartment for a long weekend. To start with the hosts communication made things so easy from start to finish. These property’s are full of character and in a prime place in York beautiful views of the river and close to the city a short walk to the cathedral. Parking is onsite and we cannot recommend this property enough. Will certainly return 👍

Family vacation
We spent 3 days in York and stayed at the Riverside. The home was lovely and had everything needed for a perfect 'home away from home.' Patrick Lavers, the owner, was prompt to respond to every question we had. If we ever have the opportunity to visit York again, The Riverside York, is where we would choose to stay. It is convenient walking distance to nearly everything you would want to visit while there. If you decide to stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Great little apartment in York!!
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Riverside York. The apartment is superbly located a short walk from the attractions, almost literally a stones throw from York castle museum and Clifford's Castle. The apartment was cosy and welcoming with everything catered for after a long drive (tea, coffee, sugar) Patrick was very helpful and responsive when we had questions and always replied in good time. York is a wonderful city for families and couples with great restaurants, bars and museums aimed at all ages, and its so much nicer when you can relax at the end of a busy day! Thanks again!

Lovely apartment close to all the tourist attractions within York City. Bed was super comfortable and long enough for my tall husband! Beautiful views of the river from the bedroom and a bench outside to be able to watch the world go by, with a takeaway pint from one of the pubs down the road. Private parking in the attached garage was a bonus. Kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom has underfloor heating. Perfect apartment and location for our first visit to York, would highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here at Riverside. As a family of four there was plenty of space. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and had all the appliances needed to have a nice home cooked meal as a family. Bedrooms were spacious and well presented and the bathrooms were large with one having views across the river when in the bath. Overall we loved the location being so near to all the shops and attractions and being on the riverfront gave us the opportunity to watch the boats, the passing visitors and a flock of geese who sauntered along the front every day like a bunch of locals! Great experience, would like to return soon for another stay.

Beautiful apartment and position
This apartment is gorgeous - overlooking the River from the bedroom - also a bench outside overlooking the River. There was a private attached garage which was brill as there was no nearby parking. Everything is in walking distant anyway. There were three of us - which gave us plenty of room. Everything was extremely clean and tidy - we could not fault it. Do stay there - you wont regret it!

This was a beautiful central appartment .It was very clean and instructions were exceptional . Evergthing needed was provided for your stay . Patrick was really helpful and made our stay effortless . Would highly recommend anyone to stay here . Excellent value . Thanks Patrick and Helen
