"The pool is beautiful, clean and stocked with towels. The gym has a sauna that we enjoyed, and again, the area was very clean. The beds were great! Lots of soft pillows. The rooms are spacious and include a small fridge, microwave, and closet with iron and hangers. The shower had great water pressure and temperature. The front desk was efficient and kind. We enjoyed some small appetizers from Bistro 2two2 and it was delicious and the food was competitively priced, not cheap, but not overpriced. The locally sourced coffee that they serve was also a bonus "

"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and would not recommend staying here. First, I requested an extra blanket and was told they do not provide additional blankets. The staff member acted as if I was asking for something unreasonable, which was surprising for such a basic request. The breakfast situation was unacceptable. It was overcrowded, only available until 9am, and felt very unsanitary. The staff member handling food was not wearing gloves, and items were barely restocked. They would bring out just a few mini muffins at a time, which were gone instantly, and there was only one waffle maker for a large number of guests. The pool area was even worse. The chlorine level was so strong it burned our eyes and skin. Although there was a posted capacity of 15 people, there were easily over 50 people in the pool at one point. Children were entering without adult supervision, and there were constantly people coming and going through side doors. It was clear that management had no control over who was using the facilities. We later found out that people come there on weekends just to party and use the pool. To make matters worse, there were no towels available in the pool area despite checking multiple times. The area itself was dirty, with garbage around and visible mold. There was even a door off its hinges near the mechanical room, which felt unsafe. Back in the room, we only received two towels despite booking for four guests. The stairwells were dirty. "

"When I went to the front desk this morning at 4:30 AM to catch my shuttle that I had reserved, I was informed that the shuttle driver had called in sick and there was no ride to the airport for me. When I asked what my alternatives were, the front desk clerk said I might have a guy, I can call him and see if he’s awake, but you’ll have to pay for it. I said if I’m paying, I’ll just call an Uber. I asked if the hotel would reimburse me she said no. She was not apologetic, or helpful and actually fairly rude considering my situation, left without a ride and no advance notice. Don’t trust the Airport Shuttle advertisement at this hotel. Stay somewhere more reputable."

"We had such a unique and memorable stay at the Haines Shoe House in York! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how charming and well-maintained everything was. The house itself is such a fun and one-of-a-kind experience—our group couldn’t stop talking about how cool it was to actually stay inside a landmark.The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. The hosts clearly put a lot of care into making guests feel welcome, and it showed in all the little details. It was the perfect mix of quirky and cozy.The location was also great—peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to everything we needed in the York area. Whether you’re looking for a fun getaway, a family trip, or something totally different, this is definitely a place we’d recommend.We’re so glad we had the chance to stay here and would absolutely come back again!"

"Front desk staff were not very inviting, no hello when we said hello, no good morning when we said good morning, not even a smile or a thank you. I am disabled and I had my own shower chair but we forgot the screws to put it together so it was a relief that the hotel offered one. Breakfast was good but for me who is in a wheelchair found it very hard to get around to get my own food, hardly any space and no designated area for me to sit and eat, found myself constantly saying I am sorry because I was in the way. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner is a great addition but it was disgusting! All 3 bottles were full of mold and mildew on them. I will say I loved the way the hotel smelled! I asked the hotel staff what the scent was but i was ignored. The bright market was so cute but the food items were dusty. "
