If we had paid $100-200 less a night, we MIGHT have given this place 3 stars. It was just too expensive for the issues we faced upon arrival. We have stayed in many VRBO's, but never felt quite this uncomfortable with the cleanliness of a place. Just for reference, everyone in our party, with the exception of the baby, are over 35. When we arrived, there was a beer bottle under the front steps, beer bottles and cigarette butts on the back patio, and doors left unlocked. We could see past this, but then we found candy wrappers in the one of the bedrooms, cobwebs in the window of the bath, strands of hair on the bathtub wall, a half used mini shampoo bottle in the upstairs bathroom and an empty mini shampoo bottle behind the curtain of a downstairs bathroom. It was evident that this place wasn't properly cleaned, which made us extremely nervous with our infant. Additionally, there were dishes left in the dishwasher that were still dirty with a big puddle of dirty water at the bottom. We texted that evening (checkin isn't until 4pm) about the dishwasher, severe temperature swings between hot and cold water while showering, and the beer/cigarettes. They texted back saying they would come the next day knowing full well that we would be out exploring as that was our only full day in Yosemite, we were only booked for two nights. When we arrived back home that evening, we found that the dishes were all emptied out of the dishwasher and put away and the water had been drained. The disturbing part is not only was the dishwasher NOT fixed, but they moved our items, during a PANDEMIC, out of the strainer so they could hand wash and dry the dishes. These items included our baby bottles, bottle parts, and silicone bib. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion. Oh and the review about the cardboard bed is spot on for all of the beds in the house, not just the trundle and twin.
