Family holiday
A lovely house and garden with stream at the end. The river is close by, and was idyllic to paddle board / kayak on and has a well used cycle route alone it. The tennis court, almost next to the house, was always available. Location is rural but it is easy to get to Amsterdam and lots of other places. Caroline was quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

The house and garden are beautifully maintained and there are lovely, scenic bike rides right on the doorstep. Amsterdam is easy to visit using the park and ride car parks on the outskirts and there are lots of other places nearby for day trips. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cottage in a park
As Canadians we enjoy our cottages. This house allowed us to experience Dutch “ cottage “ life! A house on a small canal near a big canal set in a park! The property was peaceful, with kayaks and bicycles to use. A short drive to 3 great restaurants. Also close to Leiden and den Haig. The house was well equipped, with character and comfort. Comfortable beds. As advertised! We really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely garden
Charming property in a lovely area. Really appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms. It was very hot while we were there. The garden is a great place to sit out. If you are up early enough you might see the hedgehogs!

Our stay at Zevenhoven
We had a great stay at Caroline’s property near Zevenhoven. Caroline was a great host and her property was fabulous. We enjoyed the use of the garden, kayaks, bikes and tennis court. The property was ideally situated to explore the surrounding countryside including Amsterdam and Gouda. The information pack was really useful for finding local restaurants etc. Thanks for the great stay.

Beautiful and peaceful stay in the countryside.
Lovely spring setting with many birds, ducks, swans, geese, and even pink underwing green parrots flying around the area. The Home is very clean and well stocked. We had a great stay out of the hurried city of Amsterdam.

Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay at the bungalow! The house had everything we needed for a week long stay. Three bedrooms with one bathroom was perfect for our family and it’s a nice and quiet location. Great for a peaceful nights sleep. The location is a bit far from major transit, so a car is needed. It also takes a bit of time to navigate over to the major highways, so just something to note depending on your plans. Caroline is a lovely host who left some snack and drinks for us. She checked on us a few times and was easy to reach for questions. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this vrbo for future guests.

Great stay in the country!
It was beautiful! The owner responded to our communication and we enjoyed being in the country immensely. The location is off the beaten path but that's what we wanted. We had a car so it was not a problem. We used the bikes and the boats, did a couple days in the city (took about 1 hour to get there with traffic) and a couple days in the country and surrounding little towns. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Peaceful cottage setting
Our family of five stayed at the cottage in Zenenhoven. It is breathtaking - peaceful, quiet, beautiful surroundings of the garden & canals. There is so much to do. We rode bikes through the countryside & along the river, played tennis, jogged every morning. Caroline was wonderfully helpful and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this cottage. It was perfect for our family’s visit in the Netherlands.

Perfect Country Home
This was an absolutely perfect country home for our family of 5, with easy access to Amsterdam, Schiphol, Kuekenhof, Utrecht, Gouda, etc. Caroline was very responsive and is a very good manager of this property. Her directions and recommendations were perfect, and she was a wonderful host. The property and surrounding countryside were almost too beautiful to be believed, and by the end of our stay, we found ourselves looking at "for sale" (te koop) signs! Plenty of bikes and kayaks are provided, and biking opportunities are nearly limitless in the area. You can bike through farmland for miles, or over to the Coop grocery store in Noorden. The train station in Bruekelen is about a 20 minute drive, then about a 30 minute train ride to Amsterdam Centraal. Schiphol is about a 30 minute drive away from the house. The roads and infrastructure in the Netherlands are outstanding, and driving was no issue at all. If you are looking for a quiet, country setting away from the crowds and noise (but with easy access to Amsterdam), then I would highly recommend this property. Our only regret was having to leave!

Beautiful country home close to Amsterdam
We had such a wonderful time in this country home south of Amsterdam. Caroline was a fantastic host and has a modern and beautifully decorated home with all the amenities. Kitchen, bath, bedrooms and yard are immaculate. Supermarkets are close by. Amsterdam is only 30 minutes away using P+R Parking. The countryside is beautiful for walking and cycling. This is an extraordinary find. We had such a wonderful holiday, this is highly recommended. Caroline was the best.

Very Charming, Spacious, Beautiful Grounds & Surrounding Area
My family really enjoyed the bike rides through the country. Cows, Sheep, Ducks, and Swans made for a real change from what we see in the city we live in. We found several very good restaurants within a short distance. The people at the restaurants were great! The location of the COOP was very convient. We cooked breakfast every day, ate out for lunch, and cooked late supper at the house. In all a very nice change from the big cities we had stayed at during our 30 day travels. The train ride into Amsterdam was easy and convient. Simply drive to the Park and Ride (#2) and take the 30 minute ride into town. Perfect change of pace at the end of a long vacation journey!

Gorgeous house
We had a lovely stay at Caroline’s bungalow. The location is so pretty & perfect for families. Our children enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. We used the park & ride to travel into Amsterdam and had some lovely meals in the nearby towns. Highly recommended as a family holiday.

Perfect compliment to Amsterdam
We were on a week's family holiday. A few nights in an Amsterdam hotel and a few nights here. We loved our time at the bungalow, riding the bikes along the canals, to local villages and through the fields. We found it really easy to visit other towns by car too. Caroline was sort helpful.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location
This house was perfect for my family. Living space is open and light, plus plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. House is stocked with all the amenities you need for cooking, doing laundry, and even watching movies. The surrounding area is quiet and picturesque, and you can spend hours riding the bikes provided with the house. This really is a great spot to see part of The Netherlands that most international travelers rarely visit. There are lots of activities within a quick drive and larger cities within easy reach as well. I would definitely stay here again.
