Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious!

The Room we were originally set is smelled of mold I work in restoration construction so I am familiar with the smell. This would have been something we could deal with but we were all woken up at 9pm to flies on our bodies when we turned on the lights we found the walls crawling with flies and earwigs. It would seem as this would be all but while swatting flies before requesting a room change I nearly stepped through the floor as there is a soft spot by the sliding glass window. My wife and I are traveling with our 18month old daughter so we really wanted to avoid changing rooms but we had no choice. When I went to the front desk to ask for a room change I asked the employee if this is normal he responded with “yes unfortunately the building in in bad condition” we were changed to another room with less bug although I had to kill another earwig when entering the room. When asking for a discount or a refund I was told there is nothing that they can do. Overall worst experience in a hotel in the recent memory well below what we have come to expect from Japanese hospitality. We are now at the miyako Tokyo hotel and I cannot state how much the extra money is worth it. Please stay away from the breeze way!

Loved our time at Miyakojima. We were welcomed so warmly by Mei she spoke great English. The pool was kept sparkling clean. The beach is absolutely stunning. Loved the observation deck. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to return.
