9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,004 reviews)
I want to mention the staff first. They were friendly, hospitable and so helpful. A special mention to the lady at reception who helped me with an issue on Ali pay. She went out of her way to help me. Thank you.
Now for the hotel, which was absolutely beautiful, in a convenient area. Close enough to the subway and about 15 minute walk to Tian’anmen square.
The hotel was spotless.
Breakfast plentiful, catering by for all tastes.
I would definitely come back to this hotel if I was lucky enough to return to Beijing.

The hotel stay was great but the food quality served in breakfast was dubious. Some marinated Chinese dishes tased expired and should be threw away. We are Chinese Americans so we know what is the right taste.

8.6/10 Excellent! (1,004 reviews)
The hotel is centrally located near shopping areas and close to the traffic-free mall. The check-in staff requires the manager to make decisions as one of our rooms require changing after one day. We did not want to do that as the hotel needs to plan their room assignments properly. We have to talk to the manager and he okayed not to change one of our rooms.

"The location is great. Definitely worth waking up early to walk around the hutongs nearby before dawn—highlight of our trip. The building is older and is due for an update, but is very clean and warm. I believe our room was upgraded from a double to a double deluxe room, which was very spacious."
