Nice house but not 10/10
Sticky coasters Outside tables not clean I’m a house cleaner… makes me wonder if it’s possible to save on the cleaning fee by doing it myself - better. No real coffee just super old instant Recliner needs to be replaced (very uncomfortable) A good sharp paring knife would be nice One very large saucepan… a small and or medium one would be good to have. I was surprised at the price and 10/10 rating considering the age and quality of the furniture and the place itself. Maybe 6-7… certainly not 10. Some working binoculars would be nice Lotion would be nice Dishes in the cupboards are dirty (really dirty. I have a very high tolerance for dirt) Put how to find the kayak paddles in the details… we never saw them and were told they were “outside” Melanine dishes don’t work in the microwave. Great games!! Deodorant shampoo conditioner body wash… very nice. No clean up instructions for check out … very nice Overall I’d stay again but I think it’s over priced (mostly because it was not clean and the cleaning fee is HIGH).

Great little getaway
We wanted some relaxing lake time with the family and that’s what we got!! Kayaking on the lake and relaxing on the back porch. Be aware fishing on the lake is closed from October to the end of April. We did not know there are lakes in this county that have this rule.

Can Never Go Wrong Staying Here
This is our second time here and it was just as good as the first time. The location is an ideal split where you feel you are out in the wild but really only about ten mins from city amenities. The lake property is so chill and being able to use the kayaks and canoes is such a huge bonus. 5/5 highly recommend and will stay again.

Cozy and well equipped.
The property was located just across the dirt road from the lovey lake. It was too cool to swim or kayak, but we saw the outdoor gear in good condition and easily accessible. The home had very comfortable beds and plenty of seating for 6 people for a meal or evening hang outs. There were a lot of board games, puzzles and even a PacMan old style video game. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful location
We were in Bellingham for a wedding. The house is in a great location and the lake was a really lovely location to relax after a full day of activities. The house was well stocked, clean and attractive. The house is definitely 5 stars. Because we were there for a wedding, we had 4 adults, each with a car. Parking was challenging as a couple people had to find parking elsewhere. The stairs are tough for some seniors.

Amazing
What a great home base while we moved our oldest into his apartment in town. The lake is so quiet, we were able to unwind. The house is very clean, and has everything we needed. The extras made it so great- the deck swing, pac -man console, and extra deck plus the view were amazing. We were able to cook and grill. We used the paddle boat and the dock was perfect to fish and relax. Our host was quick to respond and very sweet. Thanks so much!

Quiet retreat getaway
Nice quaint location, quiet and relaxing. Great view from the top level just be prepared for all the stairs. Nice options to use either a paddle boat or kayak or just relax on you private dock. A/C worked great if needed and kitchen was nicely equipped. Great stay!

Great Find
The whole family enjoyed the stay! My youngest decided they wanted it to be there house, they were very excited to be there. The directions in the email prior to leaving were informative and the entrance process was very easy to navigate. We were met with a clean space and easy access to the grounds. Everything was as expected based on the description. There was plenty of bedding, if needed, and we were able to get through the weekend with the stocked kitchen. I was a little worried that I would have wanted to bring cookware, spices, or other items, but it was ready to go! The lake across the way, was awesome!! The only thing that surprised us was the close proximity of the guest house or other housing on the property. I was glad that I asked in-laws if they wanted to join us, so that we weren’t necessarily having to stay with other folks during our vacation. Overall, it was a great stay and would recommend this spot as a fun lake cabin getaway!

The quintessential summer lake cottage
We live in a hot and humid state and look forward to our summer break in Washington all year. Emerald Lake Chalet was everything we hoped for in terms of tranquility, beauty and convenience. We were ten minutes drive away from everything we needed, but the setting gave us a feeling of seclusion on the perfect summer lake. The stairs might give some people pause but, trust me, the view was worth it. In the sultry months that await us here in the deep south we will cherish the memories that this beautiful lake cabin in the woods afforded us.

Perfect family getaway
We arrived to find the chalet just as described! It was the perfect getaway and we felt that we had the whole lake to ourselves. Chalet was supplied with games and life jackets to appease our 7 year old. Also had some fun kayaking and playing Yahtzee and bird bingo there. Kitchen had supplies for easy breakfast/lunches. Views were amazing and house felt very clean. Loved the private dock, views, and household supplies such as laundry soap and shampoo/cond. Liked the fact there were 2 bathrooms. First house on the lake and had the whole end of the lake to yourself, although only 1 small trout caught in June😉 Had to buy some supplies for fishing such as tackle box/bait/hooks @ local Sportsmans Warehouse, stairs were steep and def. made us winded carrying all our stuff up, felt homey (like a grandparents cabin). Primary bedroom is small, yet sufficient.

This property is terrific! So charming, great location - we enjoyed canoeing, peddle boating and kayaking around the lake. The fireplace inside just added to the coziness. It is easy to leave a great review when everything goes according to plan. We had one minor hiccup, and we received a response within 15 minutes - so very much appreciated! You can tell that the owner of this beautiful house really cares about her guests. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

Quiet and Fun
We loved our stay! The lake front property has beautiful views. There was a lot provided for us to do at the property, and the town was close by. We appreciated all the attention to details. The toys and games made the stay for our little one fun and engaging. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace and blankets kept us warm as we visited late November. We would gladly stay again.

Beautiful location
Cabin type stay - comfortable and unique in many ways. You can’t beat the location with the lake just a few steps away. Owner communicated well and the place has all the amenities we were looking for. The cabin is a little old and outdated but this does not take away from the experience. We loved it!

Such a great place!
We stayed at the Chalet for the weekend while we moved our daughter into WWU. It was the perfect location for goodbyes and family meals. We used the kayaks to explore the lake and fish for a bit. The house was fully loaded with everything that we needed. We absolutely loved waking up to the sun shining on the lake! We would definitely love to stay again when we visit Bellingham.

My weekend getaway on a dock and in a loft
We decided to stay for two nights, keep it nice and simple. It was such a relief knowing that we didn’t have to overpack because the house had everything that we needed besides our food and clothes. The house was so homey, I think that’s very important!! I just wanted to note 2 downsides; there are quite a bit of stairs to get up and down so that may be challenging for someone who has a disability, and there was no front yard to hang out in. You can’t walk around shoeless at the shore of the lake due to the overgrown sticker bushes. Everything else was perfect! Had so much fun with the water toys, and the lake is just perfect and quiet, a little on the cold side.

Peaceful and serene

Summer Blast
This place was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer. There are many things to do nearby but we chose to play in the lake the entire time. Everything about the house was perfect and charming, even the pullout couch was comfortable. Highly recommend and will be back annually.

Hidden Treasure
Great directions from our fabulous host, and light traffic, made the drive nice and easy. The chalet is part of a small, quiet, lake community. The lake is warm, peaceful, and gorgeous with the occasional family taking a dip or angler for people-watching from the private deck. The chalet is exactly what you’d expect for the charming area and gives the air that you are walking into your own cabin for the weekend. The lake is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, peddle boating, fishing, floating, and swimming and is the perfect size for beginners in all these water activities. Wonderful amenities and super easy checkout instructions. We got exactly our much-needed, quiet, relaxing getaway. Thanks so very much, Ms. Rosetta!

Bellingham gem!
This is a prime location just far enough outside the city (10 minutes) to feel private but still close to everything. Downstairs renters were friendly and quiet; we hardly noticed they were there! My mom and sister stayed with me at this property as a girls-getaway and much-needed mini-vacay as I go through months and months of chemo. The stairs from street level to the front door were a bit of a workout for me, but manageable. Pack light and you'll be fine! The whole house was really clean and had everything you need to cook (spices, oils, cooking spray, utensils, pots/pans, you name it!). Just buy food and you're good to go. The decks get morning/afternoon sunshine and are the perfect spot to eat breakfast/lunch and spot some bald eagles, ducks, and Canadian geese in the summertime. We enjoyed the pedal boat, kayaks, and fishing poles as well as the fire pit on our last night. The pedal boat has seen better days, but is still usable and a really fun! More cute houses surround the lake, so make a point to get out on the water and paddle around to check them out. We all agree that my dad would absolutely LOVE this place, so we are hoping to come back again soon with him the next time we are in the area. We made TONS of memories and had a great time. Thanks for a great experience!

My family enjoyed our stay in this lakefront unit. The property was clean. The lake was beautiful with great views from inside the house. House was fully equipped with everything we needed. Kids enjoyed playing PacMan.

timeless cottage
We really enjoyed our stay on the lake- although most of the time it was quite rainy. It was wonderful to be able to use the kayaks and explore the neighborhood on foot. Very serene. The cabin was very clean and comfy, but cold. There were many blankets around so that was helpful, although we had to stay bundled up for comfort. (I guess the heating system wasn't working and we didn't report our discomfort til the tail end of the stay). I imagine that system has been fixed as the host was responsive when we reported it- though unable to fix it. Overall the place was beautiful- serene- and clean. More pots and pans would be desireable for at home meals. Great coffee maker.

Serene stay at Rosetta's chalet
Had such a great stay at Rosetta's chalet in Bellingham. The lake was so beautiful and we loved the view from the balconies. It was great having access to the water toys, as the lake was great to experience while in a kayak. Some notes for improvement was to ensure that the bbq is working. The chalet bbq was not, but we were luckily able to use the studio bbq. There was also an issue with the tv connectivity, so might be good to look into that as well. Overall though, the place was so beautiful and we loved our stay. My brother loved the pacman machine and we appreciated the bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are very happy the pacman machine was a hit. We don't usually have an issue with the television connection, so we will look into it. The BBQ just needed more propane which is now fully stocked. The igniter has also been replaced. BBQ is good to go!

Great Getaway
House and location were just perfect for our group of four adults from the East Coast. House was well supplied and the water equipment was perfect for our adventurers. The eagle on the lake was a bonus as was the sunshine.

Great Lake House
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The house has beautiful views and a lot of thoughtful activities for all ages. We really enjoyed using the canoes.
