「Room facilities are excellent, modern and well equipped. However, it would be better if there's a swimming pool. As for the restaurant, seems the variety is not that much especially hot beverages. It would be much better if fried noodles or fried rice could be served, or maybe sausage, ham...etc.」
「The hotel breakfast buffet requested for full money while we registered at the entrance counter for the elderly with certain discount. However, it is very appreciated that the hotel gave me a pre-birthday cake one day before my birthday to my very surprise and I am thankful to the hotel. 」
"It really is a landmark hotel of Taipei, different than any other five stars you see around the world. If you can afford it and can find availability then you must book a night here. I've had the deluxe room and it was awesome.
Pros: the room is huge with very large bed (could accommodate 2 adults + child with space to spare)
Bathroom is renovated, has everything expected at this level
The huge balcony is the strong point. Absolutely amazing view of the city. Watch out for mosquitoes though
50m outdoor swimming pool available (don't know how that is during winter though)
Has a club with children playroom, and a few other activities
Minus: TV is way too small compared to room size.
I found the procedure to go the pool unnecessarily complicated. You have to go to one office to sign your name then cross the pool to another stand to sign your name again and get a towel.
There isn't exactly a feeling of intimacy (if that's what you're looking for). There are huge crowds everywhere you go (this is a strong attraction among local Taiwanese), a lot come just for dinner and taking pictures.
This is a very old building that's been renovated, and while it has a lot of history and unique character, it doesn't have that modern high-tech feeling to it (it didn't bother me as I knew what I came for, but maybe some people would expect otherwise)"
