“This beautiful sanctuary truly is magical! If you think you're going to have any western luxuries, please reduce your expectations! This is a rural eco lodge. We stayed in the mountain cabins and we didn't have hot water, so we made due with coldish water. That really was the only inconvenience. Food was amazing! From the staff to the elephant handlers, it was sooooo great! Being able to see the elephants walk around and feed them and watch their personalities shine, really was magical. As for……

“Located at a nice quite neighbourhood in the alley of main street. Room with windows on both side, bright and good ventilation, even fan not turned on. Easy access to most attractions inside the old city. Stable hot/warm shower after day of visit then get into the big bed with comfy pillows.”

“The host should be more welcoming on arrival, We basically received no greeting, only if we had a reservation, I found it rather strange, I would stay here again, but I would make sure he was more talkative on arrival.”

“Surrounding environment is great with great small pool (lake) within hotel area. Nonetheless, room is quite old and not so clean. There are several spider web and tiny spiders in the room. And also some lizards and a glass hopper. My girlfriend is not ok about it, but I’m ok.The breakfast is local northern Thai style which is awesome.Overall, it’s worth for money, great view, but not friendly to the one who hates insects.”

“Der Bungalow ist geräumig (4Personen) aber etwas basic. Das wird mehr als wettgemacht durch die überwältigende Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastleute. “The Hipster is a no-frills place to stay if you are like us and just sleep there, leaving early in the morning and returning at night. PROS: Near the airport. Quiet side street. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Inexpensive taxi / tuk-tuk ride into the city. Comfortable small lobby area. CONS: Not in the downtown area, so you just can't go out and walk around.
