"The staff at the Royal were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel itself is in a wonderful position overlooking the Wye Valley. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We had a room in the newer building with fabulous views. There is no lift at the hotel. The rooms with easiest access have several steps. The shower is over the bath.. Not wholly suited to thise with mobility issues. "
