「Not price worthy as when there is a cruise coming, it raises its prices by 3 times ! The receptionists are not too friendly and helpful !」

「We was welcomed with a free drink as we were going on a cruise, nice touch! Rooms are quite small but nicely furnished. The pillows and bed were a bit hard for me giving me backache but my husband found them comfortable. Leisure facilities were ok, pool was quiet which was nice but the jacuzzi was full of men who didn’t want to get out, they stayed in for ages, not giving other people the opportunity to use it. Steam room out of action. 」

「Beautiful setting in a country house right in the village of Burley. Walk past green pastures,along the driveway and you are there. Sit on the front patio and watch the deer walk by, and eat right in front of you. Two comfortable lounges, and a Bar, really nice Dining Room. Full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu's. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Tea and Expresso, complimentary water and sparkling water.」

「Stayed for one night as a little stop over on way to Cornwall with our young Labrador. The hotel is really lovely and super dog friendly with welcome treats and a little pup pack of goodies in the room. The staff made such a fuss of Zoey dog. Really lovely people. We took a 5 minute stroll into the village for a walk and dinner at a pub. The location is perfect. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the bar terrace but there were no noise issues. Next morning I took advantage of the hotel...

「This hotel has a beautiful location . The room was lovely and very clean. Staff were fabulous in particular the receptionist. The only down fall was the waiting time for food in the restaurant, the food itself was lovely . Would also be nice if there was a separate dining area for families , as felt a little under pressure when dining with kids 」

「Staff were super and the bed and pillows were amazing. Our room had air con, which was turned off when we arrived. It was extremely hot. Full sun had been on the room all day and it was like an oven. We turned the air con on and didn't make much difference. We did not sleep at all well We checked out early at 7.30 am as we we had to look after our grandchildren . We were not able to have breakfast which we had paid for as they didn't start service until 8.30 am All doors were locked...

「Self service so expected some instructions - couldnt get tv to work. Coffee, tea n sugar provided - no milk. Kettle supplied on shelf - no plug nearby. Low light - difficult to read. However good location, warn and clean - also cheap. :)」

「The staff were perfect; so lovely and friendly. The food and drinks were incredible. But...the building is tired. The decor needs a revamp and the fixtures and fittings are in need of modernising. It's a real shame, because the staff are doing so much right, but the building itself needs a lot of investment. 」

「Everyone on the staff is excellent, and the food delicious. We have stayed before and will again. The gardens are a treat, so well looked after, and the gardener is such an asset, we had good conversations with him about his work, and his ethos for the garden, many ideas to take home. 」
