Very poor lighting, rooms are very awkwardly set up, very tight parking. Coffee machine and safe were not working and in spite of complaining twice were not fixed

Our stay was awful. The staff was not very friendly and when we had an issue with a lost item in a cab and asked for help as we do not speak German, they seemed as if they could not be bothered to help.
On our final night after showering the room flooded everywhere - we were in the middle of packing at 11pm at night and had to rush to move everything as we had a good inch of water coming from the shower. When we called down the front desk seemed to be aware this was an issue which is even more bothersome. They offered to move us rooms but what a complete inconvenience at night while you’re packing up. The next morning upon check out the front desk was not apologetic in the slightest. When I complained to Expedia for a refund, I was told I cannot get one as it does not adhere to the rules and restrictions - so basically your room flooding in the middle of the night is not a cause for refund? Ridiculous on both Marriot and Expedias part.
