「In general very good. The double bed was made of two single mattresses which was not comfortable. The shower had attachments missing but worked ok. Staff were friendly and attentive.」

「A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. 」

「I came to Margate for an overnight solo birthday trip and I had the most wonderful time at No 42 by Guesthouse (Margate). The room was gorgeous - spacious, airy, well designed and with a balcony overlooking the beach that seats two people comfortably. There are lots of little amenities in the room that make your stay comfortable as well as supporting local businesses and artists, and the pantry is an excellent touch if you're feeling snacky. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.」
