We came down for our first visit to Charleston. We stayed 4 days and chose this hotel because of the convenient price and location.
Day 1 - very amicable and benevolent staff. Easy to park. We brought our dog and the property had plenty of dog stations around the property. We were on the top floor. Fairly clean room and bathroom. Unfortunately, the toilet was broken, it was "fixed", but only to end up flooding the bathroom early in the a.m.
Day 2 - Staff understood the issue and instead of trying to "fix" it again, we were moved to a new room, on the first floor. More convenient. I immediately tried to take a shower, and the water spout (the tub spout, not the shower head) came off the wall from the water pressure. Staff new it would take too long to "fix" so we moved AGAIN to the room literally across from it.
**Yep, we moved two times in less than 12 hours**
Day 3 - Everything worked and was going smoothly, but then the door fob mechanism broke :( Yep, couldn't get in the room. And it was early in the a.m. so the maintenance crew wasn't present, yet.
Staff were friendly and understanding through the entire experience. We were comp'd the pet fee ($60/ni) for two nights.
Ehh, would've been nice to have had one of the nights refunded, or all 3 nights free of pet charges but I'll take what we got.
I'd stay here again, though. It was just a series of flukes beyond our control. If the staff wasn't so understanding and compassionate, this review would be totally diff.!
