My heart sank when I got off the elevator and had the suite right by the elevator but to my surprise and delight, the room was a quiet, well organized oasis. Great location had you just about anywhere you wanted to be in under 15 minutes on foot or transit. It was small but mighty comfortable. One note - the bed was only accessible on one side which wasn’t an issue for a solo traveller but expect it would have been very awkward if my party of one was two.

We stayed at the Wide Hotel during our first visit to Copenhagen. The location was superb (near city center, Tivoli Gardens and the train station) and the staff gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do. My only complaint is that the rooms are really small. We got a deluxe double room and had barely any space. The other thing that was less than ideal is how busy the dining area was for breakfast. I think two hotels share the space and it was crowded! I would probably stay there again because of the staff and location.

The positives: good staff at the office, the hotel was very clean and the location is perfect! However if you have a walking disability this is not the best choice. There are 3 steps at the front door and 4 plus 5 to get to the breakfast room. I (a senior ) had to carry the walker up the breakfast room stairs and then come down and help my wife. If you have a wheelchair or scooter it would be impossible to access. The other negative was the safe was in the cupboard on the floor. It was very awkward! To access the safe I had to lie on the floor! We have never seen that!
