“This is my second visit to a Home 2 property. The design is updated and the new breakfast is awesome! We were without power until the middle of the night due to a storm. The lobby had a generator where everyone could sit. That was nice. The only complaint I have, and this really doesn't have anything to do with the cleaning staff, is that there was a dirty odor in the room. “The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park.……

“The cadin was what I expected. True to the pictures. It was very clean. I chose this place to get closer to God and that was what i got. My only suggestion to the property's owners is that the screening around the porch be fixed. It let in some yellow jackets and a couple got in the house. Would not be good if somebody staying there got stung and was allergic to them. Overall, I would go back.”

“Once booked, I had nothing but great communication with Karen the owner. She left a lovely note about the history of the home and how it has been in her family since it was built. It was built in 1902 and is an older home, but it gives a great feeling of what it is to live in the hills of West Virginia. Her Mom welcomed us and visited to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a lovely woman and a veteran made our visit even more special. If you want to stay in something modern, this would……

“Even on a rainy, wet weekend this place was great! Will be back!”

“We spent a few nites here exploring the area. The house had everything we needed. We cooked most of our meals at home and the kitchen was fully stocked. Enjoyed the screens in porch listening to the river. Both beds were very comfy. We hung out by the fire (there was plenty of wood) across the street we had river access and I even caught a fish! The house does sit next to a road- but there was very little traffic and it’s quiet and peaceful. It’s a great location to go explore we visited a coal……
