For a 4 star hotel the experience was below average for the following reasons: a note was made on our reservation for 3 single beds but we did not request this, the room has high ceilings a great feature but is so run down, marks and chips on wall, ripped furniture, not new compared to the pictures advertised for a deluxe double room. The room has an odd smell when you walk in. A good feature is you can open the windows for fresh air and is a quiet room.
There were issues opening the door with the key card.
All the staff appear to be overworked the front staff are fast but not overly friendly. The maids and breakfast staff are lovely.
The amenities are average just the basics, no tissue box, moisturiser or conditioner.
Convenient location next to the train station but 35 min walk away from the centre of Rome the area seemed slightly rough around the edges, rubbish on the streets, sad to see the homeless.
Overall the stay was ok but not great.
