"A nice hotel, very convenient to Basel SBB train station(literally right across the street) Good Breakfasts. Helpful if at time confused staff ( For some reason we were put in one of their rooms without air conditioning. Front desk woman said she would get it fixed. Next day gentleman at front desk noted that our room was one of t he ones without air conditioning, Guess thats eco-friendly, but booking site said air-c0onditioned) But overall a good hotel with friendly staff and nice warm...

"I have been in Victoria hotel 3 times. I do like the location near to the main station. The staffs are very helpful on luggage deposit even though I came early before the Check In time. They also helped to provide the electric adapter and tape to fix the broken wheel of the luggage. I strongly recommend this hotel in Basel."

"Our stay was fine but it was very unfortunate that there is no restaurant on Sunday and Monday evenings---and that we had not been told of that ahead of time so that we could plan accordingly."

"Approach to the property is through an area of town which felt rather rundown and unsafe. The carpark is fully secured, though, the hotel is lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room appeared newly renovated and was fabulous - comfortable bed, external electric shutter that fully blocked all light, enabling a restful sleep. We made use of the large bath, too. A nice breakfast was selected and worth the money. An easy walk to the centre of the old town with lots of eating places...

"The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing the receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable and recommended a great restaurant very close by. The attendant at the breakfast offered by the hotel was very friendly, helpful and patient. The receptionist also arranged a late checkout which was very nice as we are nearing the end of a long journey and we have a long layover in Basel. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable place."
