"The White House was easy to find, with parking outside. Our hosts were lovely, genial and very welcoming. Our ensuite room was warm, comfortable and homely. The complimentary welcome tray was the best I've ever seen with lovely homemade cake (huge slices!) 2 small bottles of wine and 2 bottles of water. The beds were in the firm category which suited my husband more than me. Our room was at the back of the house and was very peaceful at night time and the village seemed quiet the next...

"Lovely room and comfy bed, it was very clean. Breakfast was nice. Felt like outsiders in the bar, which wasn’t a nice atmosphere for hotel guests. It felt like the Spanish Inquisition the way we were questioned by a member of staff about where we were from and why we were there while trying to enjoy our drinks. If you arrive late the pub is locked and you have to call to get in which we were unaware of and was not told when we checked in "

"The stay was decent in terms of beds and bathrooms etc, however one of our rooms was on teh top floor and the heating either wasn't working in the room or there was none. We were provided with an industrial fan heater, however couldn't leave this on when we were asleep/not in the room for safety reason so the room was absolutely freezing during the night. Ohter than that the stay was exactly what you'd expect for the money paid"

"Fantastic accommodation & service. We stayed in the cottage which had 2 double beds & a large shower room upstairs. Downstairs there was a large lounge with separate conservatory. A wonderful private garden with decking & sun loungers. We had breakfast & dinner in the hotel on both nights & the food was fantastic. The staff were equally wonderful & nothing was a problem for any of them. We were down for Crufts at the NEC & took a taxi which was about £20 each way. I would definitely...
