AC went out for the last 2 nights of our stay, the power also went out for about 10-15mins on one of the nights. I paid for an oceanfront room but ended up getting a partial ocean view with a corner room. The food was average. Management gave us a partial refund for all the inconveniences but I will not be staying with Hilton Cancún again.

Stayed there for 7 days with our family. We have a 4 year old and a 7 month old. Overall the hotel felt modern, clean and lots of activities. We liked the poolside food, nightly activities, kids club, housekeeping and wait staff were friendly. However, there were some reasons that we would not return here. Though it was not hard to find a place around the pool. The pool was 33C and the pool tiles were falling apart. It was not refreshing and looked shabby for a new hotel when you were in it. Front desk staff were not at all helpful. One example I asked them to break a $100 usd for tips around the hotel and we were told they could not and there was no place in the hotel they could help us. The ATMs had insane service charges more than I’ve ever seen in my travels to over 40 countries. Gift shop prices for everyday items are 4 x the charges regular price. Aloe Vera was $45usd. Lastly everyone expected a tip if you wanted service. Especially at every bar. They would not serve you unless you gave a tip on every visit. I hate to paint all of the staff with this because many were great but there were a lot that felt like they were doing us a favour to service on our vacation. I would expect better at a Hilton property.
