Overall hotel and staff were very nice. One issue when dining there the first night. Wait staff lost control of a tray with wine on the table behind me getting the other table and down my back and pants. Accidents happen and wait staff was very apologetic. Manage came over and apologized to the other table and offered to comp their drinks, but never bothered to say anything to me, not that I would have needed anything comped, but found it in pour taste that they didn’t even bothered to say anything to me. This was the beginning of our trip and we packed with limited clothes, ended up having to wash everything in the sink and pack it wet for a couple of days. Really what bothered me the most is the manager not even acknowledging that I got wet and he didn’t know shame on him because his wait staff did.

Excellent! Staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect. Close to many interesting places. My room was in the basement floor and I loved the quietness. If I visit Edinburgh again, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Great location, very walkable to most sites in Edinburgh. Near the train station and the hop on hop off bus stop is right out front. Breakfast is grossly overpriced for what you get. Friendly staff. We used the sauna and steam room which were both great.
