「Calheta Beach Resort is a simple yet lovely beach property. Some reviews say ‘dated’, but I think that’s the charm of the place. Food was good, not great, but service was fantastic all across the board. Easy to get to and easy to take day trips to Porto Moniz and Funchal. I would recommend Calheta Beach. 」

「Vi havde et helt igennem fantastisk ophold, og fik vores 3 bedte dage på ferien her. Hotellet ligger smukt placeret på en klippe med en fantastisk udsigt ud over hotellets have og vandet. Vi borde i vores egen fritstående lejlighed på toppen med en lille terresse, hvor fra vi kunne nyde vejret og udsigten. Servicen uanset om det galt rengøring, mad eller hjælp til udflugter var perfekt. Idylen, stilheden og naturen ved hotellet var fantastisk og vi kan kun give vores bedste anbefalinger til...

「We had a fantastic stay with Maria. The rustic property was in a cute, quiet, and private location with an amazing view of the ocean. Easy parking was available below the church, which was a 5-minute walk away from the property. The garden and view were highlights of the property that we will always remember. 「Miguel hat uns sehr nett persönlich empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Sehr gepflegt, alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Der Meerblick ist fantastisch und die Lage ist sehr gut um Ausflüge zu machen oder zu wandern. In wenigen Minuten ist man in Calheta am Meer, hier gibts alles Strand, Restaurants und einen guten Supermarkt. Leider gab es in unmittelbarer Nähe eine größere Baustelle, die man nicht sieht, aber hört. Trotzdem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.」

「I have mixed feelings about our stay at Joao's place. We were a bit disappointed to find the state of the place; we emailed the landlord but he did not respond until Vrbo contacted him. Positive: - location: the view over the ocean is spectacular! - silence: it is a quiet area, only residential. aside from a couple of dogs once in a while, there is no outside noise - sleep quality: the (hard) mattresses worked a charm and we slept really well - good fun with the table tennis in the common...

「We stayed for 5 night, the property is in a lovely quiet area with street parking available, I would definitely recommend renting a car. The owner and his son were quick with communication and very helpful. The property is a lovely older building with plenty of character, clean and everything was in working order. There is wifi in the common area which works well and the view from the rooms is fantastic. 」

「Wir haben 11 Tage in Madalenas Haus verbracht und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung war gross (wir waren nur zu zweit), sehr sauber und bequem. Das Beste daran - der wirklich große Balkon mit Meerblick. Wir haben unser Frühstück draußen immer sehr genossen. Sehr gefreut haben wir uns auch, dass jeden Tag morgens ein Auto mit frischen Brötchen vorbei kommt! Madalena ist super nett, extrem hilfsbeteit und tut alles, damit sich ihre Gäste wohl fühlen. Wir haben uns mit ihr oft unterhalten...
