No matter where you’re coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you’re prepared. We’ve made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your El Nido vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an amazing travel experience is to pack ahead. So, let’s start with the essentials: passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, bring on board items that’ll help keep you entertained, like some electronic devices or a juicy novel. It’s also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet can be a side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes work well.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a serious condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. But the great news is there are numerous ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Drink plenty of water, walk up and down the aisles whenever possible and wear compression socks or tights.
