"If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel, I recommend OPPA Hostel. Richard is a wonderful host and he goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable as much as possible. The room was clean and I had enough space to reorganize my luggage before I checked out. The washroom is a shower, toilet and sink combined, not ideal but you get used to it. The location is convenient and pretty quiet at night (4 min walk to Sinchon station). Would definitely return when I come back to Seoul."

"Stayed here for 3 nights while in Sinchon. All the staff and the owner were extremely kind of helpful. There are tons of cafes & good restaurants nearby as well as Yonsei university. The building is very modern and there is a lot of shopping around as well if that's your thing. This is also the cheapest place in the area, but it didn't feel like a cheap place to me at all."

"The guesthouse itself served its purpose for my overnight stay in the area. The bed was clean, and the staff was helpful and informative. The bathroom in my dorm was interesting in that if the sink ran too long, the floor flooded. Also, our dorm room door stayed unlocked the entire night. It wasn't a problem, but it defeated the purpose of giving us room keys. "

The owner Kwangsup is an absolute gem of a person who became my good friend during my time here. He and his family run the place and that personal touch is what makes it so magical. "It was a nice hostel and the room has great aircon, mine had a nice view and it’s pretty close to the river. The only draw back is they’re mostly staff-less so you have to do your own check in and email them your passport. They also don’t have secure luggage storage. You just leave it behind an unmanned desk which everyone has access to. There’s also stairs of you’re staying up on the 12th floor with no lift option."

"This hostel is 2 mins walk from metro station, surrounded with many restaurants, coffee shops and a big Seoul Forest Park, the ambience is cozy and chill which you can feel another side of Seoul. We rented a private room with a private bathroom which was nice, clean and quiet though not very big. They also have a common kitchen for cooking and eating, provided with free water and tea which is a credit. Their rooftop is spacious and good for reading and chatting. Their host is super nice...

"the long term staff here are fantastic. they are kind and keep the facilities clean. the facility is also comfortable for long term stay. it has a complete kitchen, private rooms, and even tables on the bunkbeds. however this property does not have locks anywhere. not on the front door, not on the room doors, and there are no keys to the lockers, which I requested when I arrived. when my dress went missing the owner had no remorse. he only told me to "make sure that I check out by 11am" I...

"The room was great! I loved how we could wash our clothes and cook food with the small, yet most accommodating kitchen! The only thing I would have to say is that the amenities could have been slightly better as there was less than half a bottle of detergent, hand soap and showering necessities. There was also limited amount of towels provided. If you wanted your room to be cleaned or other amenities, you would have to pay an extra fee.
