The resort sits on a large premises, and conveniently located near to the Daisetsuzan Sounkyo - Kurodake Ropeway. We went in December, which is apparently a low season, too late for autumn colours, and too early for the ice festival. The great thing is that the resort is relatively empty and we were able to obtain a room with great pricing, and my family were almost alone in the nearby town playing with the pristine snow.
Dinner and breakfast were included with an extremely vast spread. The public onsen is the most beautiful in my whole trip of Hokkaido. I love onsen which is open to nature and facing the snow. We could also have free use of the onsen at a higher class sister hotel, the Choyotei nearby, with the free shuttle ferrying guests of the 2 hotels every 30 minutes.
Last but not least, we would like to highlight the extremely helpful english speak front desk staff that made our stay so pleasant.
