Kunming Family Hotel

"Overall very nice hotel with beautiful location, grounds and facilities. Breakfast very good. The outdoor pool is amazing and you will have it mostly to yourself during the day as Chinese people don't like to get a tan, so they usually only go in it early morning and late afternoon onwards. My wife told me she heard several kids calling their parents stupid for being scared of the sun! Dinner caused a great fuss because we paid for dinner expecting a buffet to be offered, but they didn't offer...

"This hotel is stunning. It sits on a lovely pond by the lake, with exquisite grounds and a gorgeous courtyard whose water feature is impressive by day or night. The lobby is enormous and austere, the spa delightful and the pool beautiful as well, though I'd recommend finding hours when it's less busy. "We had a pleasant stay, upon arrival they upgraded our room, away from the noise along the stretch of road under construction. This property is very near to a park with a lake with many people taking a stroll and doing various exercises. City centre area is within 10-15 mins walk. "

"This hotel is beautiful. Very friendly staff. Great complimentary breakfast. It's a short bus ride away (1 yuan, currently about USD .15) from the old city shopping districts which boast modern, and western style cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping. Overall this hotel is awesome for the price, the rooms are huge, the staff is friendly, and its location is extremely convenient. The only drawback is that the hot springs, sauna and spa are not in the hotel itself. They are in an adjacent building...

"Fake pix of green tree, in the actually this hotel is no trees around, located behind community car parking and small road. only staff can a bit peak english. One example: I got toothbrush when asking for shampoo and soap etc."
