"The hotel is very well maintained for an older property. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff spoke English which was helpful for someone trying to learn Italian. The full breakfast that was included with the cost of the room was excellent and a nice surprise."

"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."

"We booked this beautiful Villa for two weeks in early September 2023. We were two families with a total of 10 adults. The Villa was large enough to accomodate all of us without any issues. An interesting city that does not feel like a tourist place but a working Sicilian city. Go to the Interdisciplinary Regional Museum of Messina. It has many interesting exhibits, but the gems are the Caravaggio paintings done here in Messina.

Only stayed a short time, but much cleaner than Palermo.
