No Towels! Checked into the hotel at 2pm, However, room wasn’t available! Advised to return at 4pm. Returned at 4pm and received our room keys. Went to the room to shower and head to our event, only to learn there were no wash cloths and towels in the bathroom. It took housekeeping an half hour to bring towels to our room. Front desk couldn’t get in contact with the Housekeeping manager, and we had no choice but to wait! Very disappointed!

We had a fabulous stay at the Manhattan Club in a one bedroom suite with 4 people, including two teenagers. The second bathroom was appreciated and the kitchenette was big enough to allow us to make coffee and have breakfast in the morning. The location couldn’t be beat - a couple blocks from Central Park in one direction and Times Square the other, yet tucked in a quiet street. Subway stations in all directions within a block and lovely doorman/front desk staff. Will definitely stay here again.

An interesting hotel, some pros/cons, mostly good. Staff stands out, all excellent. Rooms are clean and large. Price point is great, given its Manhattan. Location is a mix, depending on what you are looking for. Its in central, midtown NY, near central park. Great if that's what you want, but just note that it's pretty busy and noisy. I I booked a "city lights" suite, room is great, but note that these are on the 2nd floor only. $40 for a very limited continental breakfast is steep, even if NY and $5.25 for coffee (but yes, there are free espresso makers in the rooms). Only a few elevators and some are shared with sister properties, so there can be a wait. But, since I was on the 2nd floor, there are stairs.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the space of our room. The hotel is very convenient to the subway and central park (close to wonderful playgrounds for those with children). The in-room thermostat didn't seem to do anything though and it was a very warm stay. The elevators are overtaxed and getting downatairs at 9 am or checkout took ages.

Our room was more expensive than we usually allow. It was very comfortable and clean, and quiet except for the unavoidable sirens. However, the shower head was a bit clogged and was not as comfortable as it might have been, and the heating wouldn't raise the temperature above 70 degrees. The desk staff and housekeeping staff were excellent, helpful, cooperative and pleasant. The concierge staff secured us a ride to the airport as we requested, but on three separate occasions over one long weekend, concierge staff simply ignored us--once where we were standing at their desk and they failed to acknowledge our presence until we chased them down, and on two occasions we were hauling our own bags and the staff simply ignored us and didn't offer to help. The upshot is we would stay there again, but we feel that the room was only worth about two-thirds of what we paid.
